Our business stretches back to 2009; however, our experience in the transportation industry goes back more than four decades! Owner Glenn M. Hanson has bottom-to-top transportation experience dating back to 1977, when he began as a semi-truck driver. After a five-year stint of driving he moved into dispatch, then operations for four more years—all for the same small trucking firm. The next six years were spent in heavy truck and trailer maintenance, rounding out his transportation management experience. From 1993 until 2008, his responsibilities covered fleet management and supervision, and he eventually served as CEO of a 40-tractor regional transportation company.
Today, Glenn is applying his expertise as a DOT safety consultant and compliance training authority. Our owner, Glenn M. Hanson, has over forty (40) years of “bottom-to-top” transportation experience dating back to 1977, when he began as a semi-truck driver. After a five-year stint of driving, he moved into dispatch, then operations for the same small trucking firm that he drove for, remaining there four more years. The next six years beginning in 1986 were spent in heavy truck and trailer maintenance, helping to round out his transportation management experience. From 1993 until 2008, his responsibilities covered fleet management and supervision, eventually becoming CEO of a forty (40) tractor, regional transportation company. During this period, he successfully obtained operating and brokerage authorities, reduced driver “turn-over” rate to under thirty percent annually, obtained multi-million dollar lines-of-credit and instituted cost-cutting measures that added several hundred thousand dollars to the “bottom line”. Continuing with negotiating multiple contracts with carrier partners, authoring new employee orientation and policy manuals and being directly responsible and accountable for recruitment, training and retention of over fifty employees, while fostering an “on-time” delivery percentage of 98.6% or greater, from 2003 through 2008.
